Mayank Rawat has brought pride to Uttarakhand after being bought by Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League India Auction for ₹30 lakh.
Originally from Chah Gadoliya village in the Anjanisain region of Tehri Garhwal, Mayank’s journey reflects the growing cricketing talent emerging from Uttarakhand. From the mountains to the country’s biggest cricket league, his achievement has given young sportspersons across the state a new sense of belief and motivation.
His selection comes on the back of a strong performance in the Delhi Premier League and marks his entry into the IPL, a proud moment for the people of Uttarakhand.
