Celebrating the USF Pink Ball T20 Cricket Tournament: Cricket, Culture, and Young Talent
We are glad to inform that, with the support of all our members and sponsors, the Uttarakhand Sports Foundation New Delhi, has successfully concluded the 2nd USF Pink Ball T20 Cricket Tournament.
The tournament, which began exactly one month ago on 14th March 2026, came to a successful close this past Sunday.
On this occasion, I would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors for their financial support. A special appreciation goes to our volunteers, whose consistent efforts, dedication, and hard work made this event possible. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to all USF members who marked their presence and supported us during the opening and closing ceremonies, making the event truly memorable.
This tournament was not limited to cricket alone. It beautifully showcased the rich culture of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The sound of Dhol-Damau, the echo of Ransingha, the rhythm of traditional instruments, and the vibrant presence of Uttarakhandi artists in traditional attire brought the entire atmosphere to life.
It truly felt as if the cool breeze of the hills, the sweetness of folk music, and the fragrance of our soil had come alive right here in Delhi. It was a perfect blend of sports, culture, and a strong sense of belonging.
Most importantly, this tournament served as a platform for young Uttarakhandi cricketers to showcase their talent, perform, and get recognized and rewarded. This was the first of its kind initiative, focused specifically on creating opportunities for young players from Uttarakhand and encouraging them to pursue cricket at a higher level.
We look forward to continuing this journey and creating even bigger opportunities in the future.
