Neeraj Chopra qualifies for the men's javelin final with a best throw of 79.61m, finishing fifth overall in qualification.
Rohit Yadav also reaches the javelin final after producing a best throw of 78.37m and finishing ninth in qualification.
Yash Vir Singh makes it three Indians in the men's javelin final. He recorded 78.36m and finished 10th in qualification.
Tejaswin Shankar begins the men's decathlon with 10.96 seconds in the 100m before producing an impressive 7.82m in the long jump.
Tejaswin followed it with 13.09m in the shot put. After the opening three events, he was fifth overall with 2,558 points.
Praveen Chithravel recorded 16.41m in men's triple jump qualification, while Selva Prabhu Thirumaran jumped 16.26m.
Vishal TK clocked 46.33 seconds in the men's 400m semifinal and finished sixth in his heat.
India's men's team sprint cycling campaign ended in qualification. Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam, David Beckham Elkatohchoongo and Rojit Singh Yanglem recorded 46.396 seconds.
Para cyclist Lisha Das completed the women's C4-C5 4000m individual pursuit qualification in 6:58.000 and did not progress to the medal races.
