Proud Moment: Felicitating Mount Everester Lieutenant Colonel Pooja Nautiyal ji and Welcoming Her to Uttarakhand Sports Foundation team as the President of the Womens Wing.
It was a true honor to meet Lieutenant Colonel Pooja Nautiyal Ji at her residence in Delhi and felicitate her on behalf of Uttarakhand Sports Foundation New Delhi for her historic achievement of summiting MountEverest in May this year
Our President Sh. Sushil Bhatt, and Secretary Media, Sh. Vikas Pundora, had the privilege to interact with her. What was scheduled as a one-hour meeting turned into an engaging three-hour conversation, filled with inspiring thoughts and ideas.
Pooja Ji comes from a small village near Srinagar in PauriGarhwal. She joined the Indian Army Signal Corps in 2000, retired in 2021, and is now serving in the National Security Council Secretariat. For the past few weeks, we have been in constant discussions with her about how she can contribute to the Foundation and serve our Uttarakhandi people.
In the meeting, she shared her inspiring vision on womenempowerment in the hills and innovative ideas on promoting tourism in our state through sports.
We are also delighted to announce that Uttarakhand Sports Foundation is setting up a new WomenWing, and Lt Col Pooja Nautiyal Ji will be leading it as the President. This marks an important step for the Foundation, and we are confident that her leadership will bring lasting impact and further strengthen our mission.
Pooja Nautiyal Ji is not only a proud achiever of summiting MountEverest but also a shining example of women empowerment in Uttarakhand. Her courage, discipline, and determination inspire every daughter of our hills to dream big and achieve greater heights.
On behalf of Uttarakhand Sports Foundation New Delhi, we congratulate Lieutenant Colonel Pooja Nautiyal Ji on her inspiring achievement and proudly stand with every woman of Uttarakhand in the journey of empowerment.
